This article aims at providing some theoretical and practical data about the term "Alexithymia", which is related to the field of psychosomatic medicine which is a subfield of health psychology.

I thigh lights the importance of studying alexithymia in the child showing the role of the guided emotions in terms of psychological and the social adjustment of the individual.

In addition to that, it is important to focus on "children" as they are future adults.

Then, the lack of early medical care to help children who suffer from alexithymia influences their growth and their educational and social development.

Thus, providing the individual from the childhood with a total psychological care helps to have a complete growth to achieve the psychological, social and the educational adjustment.
