Several concepts in social sciences are so linked to a degree that there are no borders between them.

This may make it difficult for the researcher in these branches to set his conceptual framework.

This is mainly due to the fact that most of that concepts originate from environments different from the Arab one.

therefore, the researcher will encounter several problems.

The field of international relations is not excluded from this problematic such as the case of the concept regional hegemony which is, despite its multitude use in Arab's writings, we rarely find its use free from criticism.

This paper has conceptualized the term regional hegemony and dismantle it to its observable dimensions, variables and indicators, that is moving from general and abstract character to the concrete one.

By doing it, it is sought to enable the interested people to benefit from its analytical and explanatory ability in a world where many countries are described as the regional dominant on the light of the wide spread of regionalism in facing globalization.
