Réflexions sur l’émergence tardive du roman Algérien de langue Arabe

This sud tries to sketch a réflexion winch concernés the problème of the latte émergence of the Algerian novel in Arabic language.

It is about the first stammering by making a kind of archaeology to clarify the difficult and complex conditions of production, legitimization and reception of the first narrative texts which do not meet the pride of the novel, yet it holds the germs the later romantic developments.

The problem of genealogy, models and filiation is handled with regards to the cultural and political History of Algeria and to its historicity.

Then, the reflection is concerned with the analysis of the various determinations which were at the origin of this absence of interest for the novelistic genre in Arabic language in spite of the major transformations which profoundly marked the Algerian reality after the Independence.

The study ends with the perspective set by a new works of fiction in Arabic language which contributed to shape, significantly, the cultural face of contemporary Algeria.
