Abstract EN

The Najafy journalism occupied an important position in the political and educational history of Iraq due to its different topics and directions of its religious, literary and political essays.

These magazines had affected the journalistic movements in the different directions of Iraq and became a source of the intellectual and cultural as it dealt with different political, economic and social subjects.

The magazines issued after the Ottoman constitutional revolution 1908, such as the Persian magazine AlGhary, Al-Alem and the Persian magazine Durat Al-Najaf, had a great effect on covering the world events at that time, while the magazines that issued after the First World War had different methods, style and direction in each stage of the development of the Najafy journalism .

The Najafi magazines had not achieved ant governmental support, rather they had been established and developed by the hands of individuals, so the faced so many financial difficulties and that is why they did not last for a long time except Al-I'etidal, that last for six years, and Al-Ghary that last for ten years.

Via their subjects that are mentioned in the thesis text Najafi magazines show a great interest in the history of Iraq and the ancient world so as to aware the reader with his history, so they represent attempts to study this stage of the ancient history of Iraq and world
