Abstract EN

The study aimed at shedding light on the concept of social partnership, its dimensions and conditions of success, in addition to the concept of sustainable development, its dimensions and objectives, and defining the concept of developing countries, with emphasis on the nature of the relationship between social participation and sustainable development.

I found that social participation is one of the most important tools used to achieve sustainable development.

It allows all members of society to contribute to the development and gaining its benefits.

Social participation and sustainable development are two sides of the same coin, each causing the other, and both being a means and an end at the same time.

People are the vehicles for sustainable human development, and they are also the end result.

The marginalization of public participation and the private sector in the development process in general leads to lack of competence, efficiency and competition.

The study recommended promoting, supporting and encouraging the notion of social participation for sustainable development and that such participation be effective at the level of planning, implementation, follow-up and evaluation.
