‘Personality’ is one of the most challenging concepts that modern cognitive sciences handle and due to the multitude of the latent essential aspects of this topic, we have selected two Iraqi scholars, Dr.

Alwardi and Dr.

Abduljalil Altahir, who have had significant contributions and valuable writings on the topic of analyzing and identifying the Iraqi personality.

Generally, the study is divided into two main sections.

The first presents Alwardi’s life, works, and views via his three sociological hypotheses including the conflict between the urban and the nomad, duality of the personality and social discord.
