The article deals with the study and analysis of national identity in the Algerian texts and charters.

The currents of the Algerian national movement were concerned with the cultural and ideological issue of different ideological orientations and cultural aspects.

During the liberation revolution 1954-1962, despite the emphasis on the military and political sides and the war However, the Algerian revolution had its own intellectual and ideological part, including what is authorized in the charters and official texts, and another that can be read and interpreted especially in the statement of the first of November 1954.

The decisions of the 1956 Conference were also ideological, Muhannad Tripoli, 1962, which had a consensus on economic, social and cultural issues, while the difference in the political side and the dispute over power took place.

At the stage of independence, the National Charter of 1976 was one of the most important texts that gave attention to the issue of Algerian national identity.
