Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to present the historical development of the concept of human development, to define its dimensions and indicators and to measure them according to the United Nations Development Program, using the analytical descriptive approach to describe and analyze the phenomenon studied.

One of the findings of this study is that human development is the most important development in modern development thought and the most prominent development literature in recent decades, because the prevailing developmental models are concerned only with economic growth, which is at the expense of other systems, especially the ecosystem.
