This research is concerned with the study of the life of el- Imam Mudafar Ben Mudrik and his position on knowledge of hadith and criticism of men.

The Importance of this research shows that this Imam is a reference in this science, and there are no other studies addressed it according to our information.

The research applies Inductive and comparative approaches to collect and analysis items concerning the research.

The most important findings of the research are: the Imam Mudafar Ben Mudrik is the leading scientists in the second century of hegira, but he is not famous, and his words criticizing narrators are few, Moreover, is one of the narrators el– hadith, the Imam Ahmed has narrated a lot about him in his Musnad.

the research recommends further research about the lives of advenced Imams of criticism who are not famous.
