Abstract EN

We tried through this research to highlight the value of freedom and individualism within the general context of the democracy of the American pragmatic philosopher and educator John Dewey, in his attempt to frame the cultural scene in all its human, social and political dimension according to the approach of reform and reconstruction, which establishes the concept of democracy in its true sense as the most appropriate space/environment to invest such values (freedom individualism) and activating the role of culture and education in the formation of a healthy democratic society.

For that, it should use the leading role of culture and education as a floor to plant this values, system, and progressive education which allows to grow the individual values and freedom and self-realization, finally to create interactive relation between the individual and society.
