Argumentation as Chaim Perelman puts it is the study of techniques that uses the mind to calculate the conclusion of a claim through interpersonal interaction, taking into account the previous definition, this research paper tries to explore these new rhetoric techniques in the works of Chaïm Perelman, the pioneer of new rhetoric, through the discussion of the concept of argumentation, its function, and its premises, finally, we shall see in details the most important techniques of argumentation and its mechanisms of persuasion, Perelman and whoever adopted his perspective on rhetoric consider liaison and dissociation the two main categories of these techniques
