Abstract EN

This study deals with the study of repetition oimnaccordancr South the descriptive analytical methodology in contemporary textual linguistics.

It plays an effective role in the building and coherence of a text.

In this study is the poem "Yaqal Sabra" (patience, my heart) by Qais Bin Zuhrih.

The study revealed that the poem contains four repetition patterns: pure repetition, which is the most used, then partial repetition, repetition in tandem, and fourth the semi-repetition pattern.

These four elements have embraced each other in achieving continuity, and conveying the idea into the recipient's mind clearly.

The diversity of these patterns contributed in removing boredom and monotony away from the recipient's ears.

The repetition makes a deliberative function and a communication strategy.

It was not used spontaneously : It offered a variety of purposes including emphasizing the main poetic idea , reminding the reader of the main idea that in cases of prolongation the reader might forget what has been said , to maximize the I Dea in the poem , and finally to rejoice in repeating the beloved's name.
