Algeria has great tourism potential especially in the field of desert tourism, where it occupies an area of 2 million km 2 , between the golden sands and oases and the monuments of ancient civilizations and cultural diversity that increases its distinction, allowing it to be a tourist destination, The aim of this research paper is to find out the reality of tourism investment in the Algerian Sahara, and whether the policies adopted by the Algerian state have achieved the established objectives and the extent of their contribution to the promotion of tourism in these regions, The study concluded that despite the policies to encourage investment and privileges granted to investors, the observed results on the ground are not commensurate with the aspirations to make the desert tourism sector a serious supporter of the national economy and the development of desert areas, Where some Arab countries and even some neighboring countries have succeeded in success in desert tourism by encouraging investment in them and creating the appropriate investment climate, in the end we made some proposals to encourage investments in the desert to promote the tourism sector.
