The study aims basically at identifying the effectiveness of NGOs in Fayoum Governorate, Objectives of the study include the following: describe the present situation of the NGOs in Fayoum Governorate, identify the level of effectiveness of the NGOs in the study area, estimate the gap's size between the current level and the ideal level of NGOs effectiveness, identify the degree of the target audience benefit from the NGOs Services, identify the most important problems facing the work of the studies NGOs, and finally identify the most important suggestions to improve the study NGOs in the study area.

Fayoum governorate had been selected to conduct the study, Personal interviews with two different categories of respondents using questionnaire were made to obtain the required data, directors of all the One hundred and forty-eight NGOs existed in Fayoum governorate, and the second category was a sample of (300) rural households heads in Aladwa.

A number of complementary statistical measures and techniques were utilized in the analysis of the collected data including: frequencies, arithmetic mean, weighted arithmetic mean, standard deviation.

the most important findings of the study are as follows: Second: the description of organizational effectiveness level and its components: The first dimension: Goal attainment: The findings showed that about (52.7%) of the studied NGOs had a low level of goal attainment, and about(43.9%) of them had a 4 moderate level, and finally about (3.4%) of the studied NGOs had a high level of goal attainment.

The second dimension: organizational productivity: About (73.6%) of the studied NGOs had a low level of organizational productivity, (25.7%) had a moderate level, and about (0.7%) of them had a high level of organizational productivity.

The third dimension: Job satisfaction: The findings also showed that about (2.6%) of the NGOs directors had a low level of job satisfaction, and about (33.4%) of them had a moderate level, and finally about (64.0%) of the NGOs directors had a high level of job satisfaction.

The fourth dimension: Organizational integration: The findings indicated that about (37.2%) of the studied NGOs had a low level of organizational integration, (43.2%) had a moderate level, and about (19.6%) of them had a high level of organizational integration.

The fifth dimension: The constituency's utilization from the NGOs services: The findings showed that, there was a moderate degree of constituency's utilization from the NGOs services.

Third: The gap's size between the current level and the ideal level of NGOs effectiveness: 1- Goal attainment gap:The average degree of the goal attainment current level was 2.9 digress, while the ideal level of the goal attainment was 5.0 degrees.

Consequently, the estimate size of the gap between the current level and the ideal level was 2.1 degree , which means that t he proportion of this gap has reached 42.0%.

2- Organizational productivity gap: The average degree of organizational productivity Current level was about 3.8 degrees, while the ideal level was 15.0 degrees.

Thus, the estimate size of the gap between the two levels was about 11.2 degrees, which means that the proportion of this gap was 74.

3- Job satisfaction gap : The average degree of job satisfaction current level was about 58.0 digresses; while the ideal level of job satisfaction was 85.0 digress Consequently, the estimated size of the gap between the two levels was about 27.0 digress which means that the proportion of this gap has reached 31.8%.

4- Organizational integration gap: The average degree of Organizational integration current level was about 34.0 degrees, while the ideal level was 60.0 degrees.

Consequently, the estimated size of the gap between the two levels was about 26.0 degrees, which means that the proportion of this gap has reached 43.3 %.

5- The gap of Constituency's utilization from the NGOs services: The average degree of Organizational utilization current level was about 19.5 degrees, while the ideal level was 32.0 degrees.

Consequently, the estimated size of the gap between the two levels was about 12.5 degrees, which means that the proportion of this gap has reached 39.0 %
