With the advent of Islam in the Arabian Peninsula, it began to spread in the neighboring kingdoms of Persians, Romans and others.

It was not easy for those nations, especially the Persians; the fall of their kingdom at the hands of their Arab enemies.

However, the majority of the Persians were converted to Islam and became good Muslims.

A few of them did not establish the faith in their hearts and remained influenced by the ancient Persian beliefs, so they showed hostility and hatred towards the Arabs.

They considered them to be the reason for the decline of the Kingdom of Persia and remaining backward until the present era.

This hostility which extended since the emergence of Islam until the present era has its roots in religious, political, and social dimensions.

after surveying sources and references, an important result is reached, that the Persians were late to convert to Islam, and some of them continued to show loyalty to the glory of the ancient Persians, which led to the adoption of the beliefs and doctrines of perverted Islam dating back to the ancient Persian religions.

One of the most dangerous consequences of the Persians' hostility to the Arabs is the plot to kill the Caliph Omar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).

As well, some adapted procedures by Arabs increased hostility between them and the Persians, including: Arabization of Aldawain in the Umayyad era.

In this study, entitled: “Historical Dimensions of the Persian Hostility to the Arabs from the advent of Islam until the Abbasid Era,” it will shed light on the historical aspects of the cultural dimensions of the hostile relationship between the Arab and Persian with the existence of unity of religion.
