We aim in this research to discuss the opinions of Arab scholars, grammarians, linguists, and interpreters on a linguistic phenomenon that has aroused great controversy in the Arabic linguistic heritage, the echo of this controversy continues to this day.

This phenomenon concerns the grammatical increase in the Holy Quran.

The scholars recognize the existence of this phenomenon in the Arab language dictionary, but they do not recognize its existence in the Holy Quran; because there is no word or letter in the Holy Quran without a benefit required by the context in which it was mentioned, but the problem is the inability of human minds to understand it.
