The study "The Role and Impact of the Neo-Conservatives in the Decision-Making Process in the United States of America" was one of the most problematic studies of the second decade of the 21st century.

A number of strategic thinkers went on to say that the neo-conservatives had a great influence on American decision-making and warned of the major problems that accompanied American foreign policy during their time in decision-making positions during the tenure of former President George W Bush.

Other thinkers and researchers in the Middle East argue that what is happening now in the Middle East and Syria in particular is the result of neo-conservatives' behavior, projects and policies in the region at the time.

This study deals with the definition of neo-conservatives, from their appearance in the American political and intellectual arena, to their access to decision-making centers in the United States of America, their position in the American political system, their ability to influence the determination of American foreign policy, especially towards the Middle East in general and Syria in particular.

The neoconservatives took advantage of the events of September 11, 2001, to begin to apply their agenda, based on the files of US foreign policy towards the Middle East, they built a strong alliance with the Christian fanatics and the Israeli lobby, And they aimed to impose the hegemony of the United States of America on the Middle East,and achieve the goals of the Zionist entity in the fragmentation of the countries of the region and its communities, especially Syria through drawing schemes and projects aimed at it.
