While the effect of foreign direct investment is generally seen as positive on the growth of host countries, notably through induced capital and technology transfers, it is more controversial and ambiguous about its impact on the environment.
The most important and controversial aspects of the effects of foreign direct investment on the environment relate to the technological effect, industrial waste and all sources of pollution.
This study focuses on the protection of the effects of foreign direct investment on the environment

Si l’effet des investissements directs étrangers est généralement considéré comme positif sur la croissance des pays d’accueil, notamment grâce aux transferts de capitaux et de technologie industrielle, il est plus discuté et ambigu par rapport à son impact sur l’environnement, en particulier après avoir intégré la question de l'environnement dans le développement durable.
Les aspects les plus importants et les plus controversés des effets des investissements directs étrangers sur l’environnement sont relatifs à l’effet technologique, aux déchets industriels et toutes causes de pollution résultantes des investissements.
Cette étude porte sur la protection des effets de l'investissement direct étranger sur l'environnement
