This study aims to demonstrate Algeria's potential of renewable energy and to clarify the status of this sector within the Algerian economy.

,this is why it seeks to exploit them because of the advantages it provides by assuring a legal environment and tax incentives ,and also a allowances for the diversification of electricity generation from renewable energy sources., However, there are still many challenges facing the exploitation of renewable energies in Algeria, the most important of them are the problem of financing, the high cost technologies, and also structural and institutional challenges.
