Abstract EN

The paper aims to study the reality of the trend towards renewable energies in Algeria, in light of the dependence of the Algerian economy on the traditional energies, through which Algeria has become hostage to the fluctuations in the prices of this traditional energy in the world markets.

Therefore, it is imperative for Algeria to invest in renewable energy resources in order to ensure its survival and energy security.

The study concluded that although Algeria is a country rich in natural resources, especially solar, the efforts of the government in this area are still poor and far from ambitions, which led the authorities to implement a strategy to promote this kind of energy for the 2030 horizon.
