Abstract EN

The current research aims at identifying the problems of teaching the contemporary history of Iraq from the point of view of the students of the Department of History at the University of Baghdad; the research was conducted in Iraq, the research society from the perspective of the third level of the History Departments in the Colleges of Education: 1- Ibn al-Rashed and 2- The College of Education for Women University of Baghdad.

The number of research community are (247) students.

In order to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher chose the questionnaire tool for his current study as it was prepared because it is the most appropriate in the process of collecting the final data and for achieving the goal of research because it is most used in educational and psychological researches.

The researcher prepared the all areas of the tool's aspects and he chose the questionnaire sample in a random way or randomly they are reached at 40 students, where they constitute 0.16 percentage of the original community.

The researcher gave the questionnaire sample an open question in order to identify their views and obtain the greatest number of teaching problems that they face.

After the researcher was informed of their responses, they were classified into the main (6) fields and each field has its five paragraphs .Each of these paragraphs represents a particular problem of students' real teaching problems.In order to achieve the veracity of the tool's paragraphs and it'svalidity in order to use it correctly .

The first version of the questionnaire has been presented to a group of specialists in educational and psychological sciences as well as in history.Then the paragraphs marked by them were modified and thus making the search tool more accurate and clearThe researcher relied on the validity of the paragraphs of each area of the tool on the approval of 80% of specialists and considered it a criterion for the validity of the paragraph .

In addition, the stability of the tool was obtained by means of the method of reapplication of the tool on the sample of the statistical survey of 20 students, or 0.18 of the remaining 107 members of the community.

The sample was randomly chosen from the original community, and the time interval between the first and second applications was 14 days.For the purpose of calculating the stability coefficient of the tool, Pearson correlation coefficient was adopted statistically,(0.75).

The general medianof the instrument stability is (0.75) and that is acceptable in educational and psychological studies.

Studies show that the coefficient of good stability ranges between (0.70-0.90).

The experiment was implemented on 2-2-2016 on the basic sample of 80 students, who constitute 0 39 of the original community of the experiment.

In order to analyze the results, the researcher adopted the following statistical methods: 1.

Pearson correlation coefficient: for the purpose of calculating its stability values .

Equation Fisher to calculate the mean percentage of percentage of the area of the tool The results of the calculation of the experiment present the following : First – In The Field of The ExperimentData the arrangement of the research tool and its field and paragraphs by the Descending Order according to the percentage weighted average and then give the following: 1.

The student's problem 2.

the teaching material problem 3.

the testing of the material 4.

the problems of the general objectives 5.

The problems of methodological and technical ways of teaching 6.

The problems of teaching Aids .

The Values ranged of the average of calculated weighted is (2.452) & (1.75) and the percentage weighted (81.73) , (58.33) respectively , and the median of the all field of the tool is (2.108) and the percentage weighted is (70.26) Second : In The Field of Teaching Problems The research results showed that there are many teaching problems as the (21) teaching problems that distributed on the ( 6 ) tool's fields from the origin of (30) problems that equivalents with (0.70) percentage from the total average of the whole problems and it's median are from (2.51) , (2.11) , and its percentage average from ( 83.66) , (70.33) respectively .

Third : The Unsuccessful Teaching Problems The other unsuccessful teaching problems according to the experiment take (2) as a standard , they are ( 9 ) unsuccessful problems that present as 0.30 from the total teaching problems that its main scores ranged from 1.87 and 1.61 and its percentage weight from 962.33)and 53.66)respectively .

Conclusion According to the above results, the researcher concluded: 1- The average of the main scores and the average of the percentage weight for the response of the students as a sample of the experiment on the paragraph and the tool's field are acceptable at the standard deviation at (2) degree .

Recommendation the researcher suggests many recommendations: 1- Adapt a list of teaching problems in this research and adapted and take benefit in the university stage.

Suggestion Make a study about the history department students and their trend on Iraq modern history as a teaching material
