Abstract EN

We have seen how all the Arab countries have failed to achieve Arab economic integration because they have been holding repeated meetings and futile deliberations that do not end.

In the end, the agreements are not useful because the resolutions of the League of Arab States are not binding on their members, even if they agree on them.

Egypt joined all the agreements of the League of Arab States.

Egypt and the Arab States signed the Treaty of Defense and Joint Economic Cooperation on 13/4/1950, in order to achieve defense and provide for its members in cases of danger and foreign threat.

Article 8 of the Constitution stipulates the establishment of the Arab Economic Council to assist the Arab countries.

To promote its economy and to enable other Arab countries that are not party to the treaty to enjoy membership of the Council also signed the Agreement on Facilitating Trade in 1953 It was also the establishment of the Council of Economic Unity, which started in 1964 and headed towards the establishment of the Arab Common Market in 1964, which included the Arab countries led by Egypt, but this market failed like other Arab agreements that were within the framework of the Arab League, In the same year, to form a committee to evaluate and follow up the reasons for non-implementation of the decisions and reasons for expressing the common market and the difficulties and the development of solutions and after the presentation of the Evaluation Committee and follow-up of the problems and the reasons to present several proposals and solutions for the market is similar to the full liberalization of exchange irrigation, The Arab Union of Payments will be put into effect and the customs tariff will be gradually phased out.

Coordination of fiscal, monetary and social policies, avoiding duplication and conflict of projects, and integration in meeting the needs of the market.
