English Abstract

The study was designed to identify the role of psychological preparation in reducing the aggressive behaviour of handball players in senior category.

To achieve this, the study questionnaire was composed of 13 questions and the sample of the study was 20 players from Barhoum Youth Handball Team.

In the survey, we used the descriptive method, percentages and (K2) test to reach, interpret and discuss the results.

The results showed that psychological preparation is very effective in reducing the aggressive behaviours and harming the competitors and other types of violence among Barhoum senior handball players.

The recommendations of the study were to give great importance to psychological preparation and including it in each training program, in addition to relying on psychologists who have formation in sports.
