The research includes the diagnosis of two species of Odonata nymph Ischnura evansi (Morton, 1919), which belongs to the Coenagrionidae family, the Zygoptera, the Anax prathenope (seyls) of the Aeschnidae family, and the Anisoptera order of Odonata in Basrah province.

The study included the diagnosis and definition of the two species under study and the description included most important taxonomic parts of the head, thorax and abdomen.
