Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the pattern of political culture of Bedouins in Ma>an Governorate and their attitudes toward the self and others, as well as 148 towards the government formation.

The study also attempts to delineate whether or not the resulting differences among the subjects of this study can be attributed to some variables such as gender, income level, educational level, and the nature of work (job).

The questionnaire was distributed to a sample of families in the study community.

Based on the statistical analyses, findings indicate that the Bedouins' attitudes towards themselves regarding their political activity and their level of political effectiveness were negative.

Their attitudes towards others in the political system and towards the composition of the government were negative, as well.

The results also indicated that there were no significant differences based on the gender (male/female) and marital status (married/single) variables.

Yet, the findings show statistical differences depending on the variables of education and income levels; these differences have come in favor of those with higher education and higher income levels.
