Iraq is one of the countries that have witnessed many political changes since the emergence of the modern Iraqi state in the 1920s.

One of the most prominent changes is that taking place after the US occupation in 2003.

The process of change was radical and at the political, economic, social and cultural levels.

As for human rights, this change was accompanied by a number of challenges that prevented citizens from enjoying them fully.

The most important of these are the economic challenges.

Any country that is experiencing political crises is adversely affected by its economy.

This is what happened in Iraq.

Whereas there are challenges hindering the development such as lack of security and depletion of public revenues while combating terrorism rather than reconstruction, as well as the emergence of corruption
