Abstract EN

This study examines the semantic dimensions in Surat Al-Noor.

It is an applied study of the Surat’s denotations (lexicographical, morphological, grammatical, phonetic, psychological, social and contextual).

The study also aims to explore the values underlying these denotations, specifically those that deal with Islamic Ruling on adultery to pave the way for acquitting lady Aisha (may Allah be Pleased with Her) of this accusation.

This semantic analysis will explain and justify “Al-Ssayidda Aisha’s” chastity and decency.

The study showed that the semantic properties of Surat Al-Noor are consistent with its themes of educations and guidance.
