Abstract EN

This research is related to the Prophet’s Hadiths regarding the Islamic Ruling on the Muslims’ residence in Non-Muslim countries.

I was able to collect seven Hadiths that have direct or indirect allusions to the prohibition or permissibility of living in non-Muslim countries.

These hadiths were extracted, analyzed, evaluated for acceptance or rejection, then studied in the relation to their raison d’être and to the denotations of some of their words whose interpretation may not apply to the current conditions of Muslims living in non-Muslim countries.

A relatively detailed allusion was made to previous and current scholars who opted for the interpretation of the meaning of those Hadiths while acknowledging their validity as a whole.

This is added to the changes in today’s societies which require new jurisprudential views that would take into account Muslims’ interests in non-Muslim societies and would try to authenticate the fatawa that concern them, so as to ultimately help them settle in those countries and become part of the fabric of those societies.

This would also impose on them Shari’a duties, including da’wa to Islamic religion in those countries and protection of their children from deviation and loss.
