Abstract EN

The present study explores the socio-cultural landscape of the Arab immigrant in Europe according to a number of dichotomies between the indigenous culture (i.e.

the culture of the country of origin) and the culture of the Diaspora (i.e.

the culture of the host country).

The Arab immigrant in Europe lives within both cultures under cultural and social dynamism which leads to a number of psychological, cultural, social, and even ideological constraints.

The extent of these dichotomies is manifested through three stations which are in their turn an extension of three generations: the immigrant father, the immigrant son, and the immigrant grandson.
