Abstract EN

The term “Al-Dhaher” is used by both the scholars of Arabic language and the scholars of Shari‘a (Islamic Law).

This research presents the linguistic denotation of “Al-Dhaher” in addition to discussing its use by scholars, especially the scholars of Al-Osoul (fundamentals) and the scholars of interpretation and studies of the Holy Quran.

The study concluded that there are differences and similarities between their definitions of “AlDhaher”.

The research concluded that the term “Al-Dhaher” among the scholars of interpretation is broader than that among the scholars of AlOsoul (fundamentals), but both of them did not deviate from the linguistic denotation of “Al-Dhaher”.
