Abstract EN

This research is basically a Qur’anic study that discusses the politeness of desertion of the prophet Mohammed Blessings and Peace be Upon Him as presented in the Holy Qur’an.

It sheds light on the great moral character of the prophet’s courteousness as described in the Holy Quran which makes reference to certain types of people that the prophet Mohammed politely avoided, including: non-believers, hypocrites and those who vainly argue about the words of Allah without knowledge.

The Qur’an also included other aspects of the prophet’s courteous desertion such as physical avoidance by turning away from gatherings where non-believers engaged in vain discourses about the holy verses of the Qur’an, and behavioral desertion by ignoring to gentiles’ speeches.

This is an example of the politeness of desertion, which was meant to reject and avoid low conversations.

Other forms of behavioral desertion included: stopping disputes, interrupting them, neglecting them and forgiving wrong doers.

In all its previous types, desertion was often attributed to defects in the people the prophet turned away from.

It is clear that desertion as mostly described in the Holy Qur’an is an educational method that affected the people whom the prophet deserted, and it is more effective than speech.
