Translation would generate or just carry within its process identities! This is the dilemma faced by the translator in the Arab world and more particularly in Algeria.

The language policy of the Southern Mediterranean countries could also interact with its translation policy in order to promote a EuroMediterranean cultural dialogue based on respect for differences in intellectual visions.

In this context, alterity would be the basis of the translation process to build rich and varied cultural identities, and consequently to counteract the universal culture generated by globalization.

Finally, the community translator stands out as an active actor to promote the rich cultural identity of his society, based on intellectual contact zones which would establish peaceful coexistence in the region.
