Abstract EN

The study of genealogy is one of the most delicate and pointed topics in Algeria.

Thus it was debated by the all people from different social groups.

Because of this importance; some tribes attributed to themselves wrongfully the offspring of these filiations.

Amanuensis started manipulating the content of some manuscripts by adding and removing as they wish.

This lead to the rise of genealogists, whom main concern was to protect the nobility of these genealogies.

This is why we tried to classify the main noble filiations in Ghriss, Mascara nowadays.

We have chosen just two filiations, the descendants of Issa and Amr the sons of Idriss the second.

Issa ibn Idriss lineage included the sons of Sidi El Eid who share the same ancestor Sidi Bouzid.

This tribe was headed by Sidi Ahmed Ibn Mhamed.

This tribe included also the El Mechrifyoun who belongs to their grandparent Sidi Ali Ben Mechref.

I also focused on the genealogy of Amr Ben Idriss, which includes the Dahawyine which goes back to Abd EL Rahman Ben Ali Ben Othman known as Daho Ben Zarfa.

We found divergences in some offspring but convergences in the origins.
