Abstract EN

There is no doubt that the normal family is the temperate climate where the child grows up without facing any psychological or social ilnesses, and becomes later a young man who is able to take responsibility for his oun self , but this rule is not always the origin, children are exposed to many circomstances those deprive them from family affection and put them in a situation imposes The state and society the need to create legal systems and care institutions that guarantee to these children a balanced social life.

The Algerian state has therefore tried to set up special frames to protect and take care of children deprived from family and protect this important segment of society through legal and institutional methods and mechanisms capable to respond to various social and psychological needs of children of unknown parentage.

The aim of this study is trying to find out the principle causes behind the spread of this phenomenon, as well as to try to show up the social reality experienced by this group and the efforts exerted by the State to take care of it.

also, it shows their need for the alternative care after losing their natural family.

As well, it explains the relation between the child with unknown parentage on one hand and its alternative family on the other hand.
