This paper dealt with the historical development of the rainforest machinery which coincided with the introduction of cotton cultivation in the region.

It examined the reasons that the British administration called for the introduction of this agricultural pattern, taking advantage of the natural and technical factors.

The rest of Sudan has changed its position on the support and encouragement of mechanized agriculture, and thus stood in the way of any progress that could lead to a socio-economic renaissance in the region.
