Abstract EN

The religious intellectual heritage left by the Muslims of Spain is a broad field of contemporary study, and what impressed scholars in this field was the ability they enjoyed in using a language with a double culture that immortalized the collective memory of this martyred nation at a time of persecution and religious and intellectual terrorism, It expressed the psychological and religious oppression they suffered from and reflected the cultural level that remained of Andalusian culture after the fall of Granada in 1492.

The Muslims of Spain, in their prose record, left an intellectual product, through which they tried to prove their determination to focus on themselves and to be confined to them, clinging to their threatened identity.

We have already mentioned that aljamiado literature has responded to its origin to this strategy, dictated by its historical contexts of existence, characterized by the persecution of him and his family by the Spanish religious and political authorities, and the gamble of uprooting them from their identity, their assimilation into their identity and their elimination from them.

Therefore, the record was marked by a large number of translations that worked to confront these authorities to save and preserve this identity, distributed among other things in books that included the stories of the prophets and apostles , and others who had taken different journeys, legends and prophecies.

In addition to what has been mentioned in previous lines, many researchers have attributed the popularity of the alchemist language among the Muslim community to their lack of command of Arabic, often due to the eradication they had suffered.

For these and other reasons, some religious secret books have spread among their generations so that the Muslim community remains steadfast in the process of mandatory Christianization.
