Abstract EN

In our article, we discuss the National Liberation Army's revolutionary evolution after the recommendations of the Soummam Conference held on 20-08-1956 , thay ordered the excution of the plan of the military action's rebirth which has been chilly and stagnant since 20-08-1955 's attacks.

This action changed the revolution process upside-down between the violence of French army against unarmed Algerians, by transmitting terror among settlers.

On the other hand, the Liberation Front, with its serious decision, aimed at civil disobedience, involving all the categories of Algerian society in cities, in various forms and under the the mass organizations' leadership that encouraged guerilla and provided logistical support.

It also aimed at the achievement of some political goals and drew the world's attention to the Algerian people struggling for self-determination and the emancipation from colonialism and not an internal French crisis, according to French propaganda.

The leadership of the revolution did not provide an effort to ripen the necessary conditions of success which facilitated General Massu to use highly forces against the Algerians workers, traders, civil servants and civil lawless repressive methods, terrified the world ugliness and left widespread resentment within the French themselves and their allies in the world, on the other side wasted , thealgerians lost many gains that achieved for 22 months ago and opened a strong criticism within the revolutionary leadership and among the population because of losses it has caused which cast a shadow on the future of the revolutionary in its structures internally and externally .

What is the aim of the revolution's leadership in bringing workers, artisans and population together in revolutionary violence and accelerating their involvement? Will the revolution's leadership draw lessons from the bitter experience of 1957 and provide the appropriate conditions for future strikes? Or has it realized the importance of civil society in upholding the Algerian issue in international forums to make radical changes in the nature of strikes by removing the civil disobedience formula to avoid greater losses and waste other gains?
