The researcher discussed ovarian tissue freezing from an Islamic jurisprudential perspective.

“Ovarian tissue freezing” refers to surgical removal of part of the ovary, which contains cells that can fertilize immature eggs and the cells that produce feminine hormones, then it is stored in high-tech freezing devices to preserve the vitality of the tissues.

These tissues are duly implanted in patients to make the ovary function again.

The researcher concluded that it is permissible to remove the ovarian tissue, if it will likely decay.

It is permissible to preserve and implant it again in a patient in an appropriate time, provided that there is a justifiable need, and conducting the process of freezing in licensed hospitals and centers only in accordance with some mechanisms that could avoid manipulation or errors in the process of tissue preservation.
