Abstract EN

This study aims to explore the relationship between communicative needs and self concept among faculty of education students in Homs University, and whether there are differences between males and females in achieving communicative needs in self concept and its subsidiary aspects.

The sample of the study consisted of (320) students (128 males and 192 females), were selected randomly among students in faculty of education in Baath University "Homs".

Findings indicate : 1-There is a statistically significant positive correlation between the achievement of communicative needs and self concept as of the whole groups.

2-There are statistically significant differences, between the average of both males and females, in communicative needs.

3-There is no statistically significant differences, between males and females, in self concept and its collateral aspects.
