This article presents some elements of reflection and analysis for the development of a study on the argumentation in the media discourse, thus seeking to approach the media communication from the perspective of producing meaning and not of 'influence.
To this end, we will examine the argumentative strategies employed in the Algerian press discourse on the presidential elections of April 17, 2014.
