Abstract EN

This study aims at analyzing and evaluating Islamic studies textbook for 1st year secondary islamic, to find out the extent to which its objectives are clear, whether its objectives are associated with the educational goals in Sudan as with secondary level,s goals whether these goals are inclusive, whether the goals are in line with the content of the bases for developing a syllabus and whether its systems are in line with the standards that have been specifically in the study.

The descriptive method has been adopted for data collection, previous studies have been traced, the statistical method has been used for data analysis so as to extract the results, the researcher has used a questionnaire, intent analysis, and statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) the following important results have been arrived at: the objectives of Islamic studies textbook are associated with educational goal in Sudan, the content of Islamic studies textbook does not take into earns, duration the all the aspects of development a among secondary school student, lecturing is one of the most widely used method for teaching Islamic studies, in availability to teaching aids to help in teaching Islamic studies for 1st year secondary, the Islamic studies textbook was well published, the evaluation methods used in Islamic studies textbook was well published, the evaluation methods used in Islamic studies text depend entirely on winter examinations, the students are not subjected to as ntinuons assessment.

Based or the above results, the researcher has presented the following recommendations.
