Abstract EN

The paper aims to investigate types of techniques used by the Libyan poet، Ahmed Al Sharif who tackled and availed of heritage in his poems.

The paper has analytically examined some samples of Sharif,s poems.The study consists of definitions of heritage، quotation and types of quotation with reference to Hadiths (prophetic traditions).

The paper aims to study the concept of heritage and its role in the structuring modern poetic text.Descriptive analytical approach was adopted because it is adequate for the study which concluded that religious heritage is the main source through which the poet can adopt in selection and utilization.
