Abstract EN

The purpose of the research is to identify the effect of the use of six thinking hats on achievement and development of positive thinking skills among second preparatory grade students in science in Libya.

The semi-experimental method was used in the experimental and control groups.

The tools consisted of the positive thinking skills scale (prediction, curiosity, problem solving, shoulder responsibility), as the total of the research group (60) male and female students distributed equally on the experimental and control groups, (30) in the experimental group at school (Bir Hammadi) for primary education in Libya, (30) in the control group at school (Abu Firas Al-Hamdani) for primary and preparatory education in Libya.

the research results found that there is statistically significant difference between the mean scores of experimental and control groups in the posttest of the positive thinking skills scale as a whole and in each skill separately in favor of the experimental group, as well as there is statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pretest and posttest of the positive thinking skills scale as a whole and in each skill separately in favor of the posttest.
