Abstract EN

The current study sought to clarify the role of curricula in enhancing the level of digital citizenship as perceived by the students, and the relationship of some variables.

To achieve the study's goals, A survey was designed which consisted of 47 items covering all the nine digital citizenship dimensions (Digital Access, Digital Literacy, Digital Communication, Digital Behavior, Digital Rights and Responsibilities, Digital Security, Digital Commerce, Digital Law, and Digital Health and Wellness).

The survey was then randomly distributed on a sample of 600 female and male students representing all the six school districts in Kuwait.

Statistical procedures were executed to analyze the responses including means, standard deviation, T-Test, and One-Way-ANOVA.

The study results revealed that the role of curricula can be described as negative in all dimensions of digital citizenship, except for the Digital Health and Wellness dimension.

Also, results indicated that there is a statistically significant differences in level of digital citizenship enhancement can be contributed to gender and school district variable.

In light of the study result, the researchers suggested some recommendations that assumed to improve digital citizenship teaching in Kuwait.
