Abstract EN

This paper-entitled “Ibn al-Jawzi’s objections to the some viewpoints of the grammarians” -comes as a continuation of the studies that served this unequaled scholar.

The researchers expose his grammatical efforts represented in his school and selections.

However, this paper aims to introduce Ibn al-Jawzi, shows his grammatical approach and explains his grammatical objections to some viewpoints of the grammarians.

The paper uses Descriptive and Analytical approaches for their relevancy to the nature of the study.

The study concludes that, after presenting its material, Ibn al-Jawzi belongs to Basra School but he didn’t stick to the school in all his selections rather he had moderate critical standpoints through which he decide on the issue
