Abstract EN

his research provides a new technique for extracting features supported with biological measurements of the eye iris by replacing the portion that does not contain identifiable information of an image of the iris and the pupil area.

The replacement comes from information-rich iris area surrounding the pupil.

The importance of the methodology used in this new technology is that it is inspired from accurate biological information of the human eye.

According to this technology; the modifications, that increased disruption and caused lacking in discriminatory information, doesn't occur here.

Beside to this, it has doubled discriminatory information; without repetition, increasing the adequate and sufficient discriminatory features to distinguish a person, regardless the method used for extracting the iris image.

Another important point in this technique is adaptation of where the new technology adapted with entirely new images.

Through analyzing the old data after merging with the new ones, therefore the system based on this technique is self-learning without increasing the time complexity, and it does not require optimization processes or reform.

The technology was implemented using MATLAB environment on a standard database (CASIA-IrisV4).

The analytical results show the efficiency of this technique for different images with high interference, especially: accepted, or rejected fraud rates, and increase the accuracy of the system’s decisions.
