Abstract EN

The research aims to identify obstacles to utilizing strategic planning in the development of the work of the supervisors in the directorate of education in Damascus and Damascus Countryside.

It also aims to know the level of significance of differences between the average estimates of supervisors to employ strategic planning in the development of their work in the directorate of education in Damascus and Damascus Countryside depending on the research variables (sex, educational qualification, number of years of service).

The researcher adopted the descriptive and analytical approach.The research sample consisted of 82 supervisors in the directorate of education Damascus and Damascus countryside.A questionnaire of (38)statements was applied.The study reached the following results: 1.

The level of utilizing strategic planning in the work of educational supervisors from their points of view in the first cycle of basic education in the directorate of Damascus and Damascus countyside was high with relative weight (76.4%).

There were no statistically significant differences between the average estimates of supervisors to obstacles of employing strategic planning obstacles in the development work of the supervisors in the governorate of Damascus, according to the sex variable 3.

The presence of statistically significant differences between the average estimates of supervisors to obstacles of employing strategic planning in the development work of the supervisors in the governorate of Damascus, according to the qualification variable in favor of the supervisors who were holding diploma or higher.
