The objective of the research is to identify the status of the problems of Teaching Art Education in schools (The Intermediate Stage) in Jahra Governorate and ways of developing it from Teachers' point of view, and know the differences between the teachers' answers depending on the variables: (sex, years of experience, qualification).

The researcher adopted a descriptive analytical method, and the sample contained (123) members from Art Education Teachers in Intermediate schools in Jahra Governorate.

The researcher built his tool which is a questionnaire and it consisted of 39 items distributed on five dimensions, and the most important results: -The results showed that the value of the overall average (2.20), ).

It islocated within the mid-level, and found that most problems are those which are associated with parents and got the first rank with an average (2.38) and is located within the high-level.Problems of school management got the second rank with an average (2.33).Problems related to the teacher got the third rank.

it is located within the high-level, as the average (2.19), it is located within the mid-level.

Problems related to the learner got the fourth rank with an average (2.10), it is located within the mid-level.Finally, the average of the problems related to the curriculum and teaching methods and physical environment is (2.03).It is located within the intermediate level.

This indicates the existence of the problems of art education, ranging from mid-level to high.

-There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of teachers responses on the research questionnaire based on the variable of (sex, years of experience, qualification).

The research reached a number of suggestions, the most important of which are: - Attention should be paid to the teaching of art education bcause of its important role in the personal development of learners.

-Variety of teaching methods should be applied to include more effective methods such as field visits and the style of exchanging experiences, and stay away from the methods such as lecturing.

-The establishment of training courses each year to find out the latest developments in the field of art education.

-Raising the awareness of school administration ,staff, , parents and learners of the importance of the role of art education.
