This article aims to assess the impact of the tax structure on investment in Algeria.
The approach used concerns an estimation through a vector error correction model (VECM) and this from the annual data covering the period 1970- 2016.
The results obtained generally reveal the existence of a Cointegrating relationship (positive and significant) in the means and long term between tax variables and GFCF.
However, in the short term, state tax revenues do not significantly influence investment, except for oil revenues.
Our results also show that current tax is in aria to initiate a dynamic of economic growth through the financing of the state budget because of a marginal return on tax revenues
Abstract FRE
Cet article a pour objectif d’évaluer empiriquement l’impact de la politique fiscale sur l’investissement en Algérie.
L’approche utilisée se base sur une estimation à travers un modèle vectoriel à correction d’erreur (VECM) et ce à partir des données annuelles couvrant la période 1970-2016.
Les résultats obtenus révèlent globalement l’existence d’une relation de cointégration au moyen et long terme entre les variables fiscales et la FBCF.
Cependant, à court terme, les recettes fiscales de l’Etat n’influencent pas significativement l’investissement, excepté pour les recettes pétrolières.
Nos résultats montrent aussi que la structure fiscale actuelle peine à amorcer une dynamique de croissance économique en raison d’un rendement marginal des revenus fiscaux.
