Abstract EN

The purpose Of this study is to investigate the effect Of Arabic Reading Challenge Program in improving basic stage students in Marka Educational Directorate attitudes towards reading.

The study adopted a descriptive survey approach through a questionnaire Of (30) items administrated on (50) female students from sixth to eighth grade.

The findings Of the study showed that the means Of student' attitudes towards reading ranged between (2.69- 3.70) in an average degree, as the cognitive domain came first, while; the applied domain came in the last rank.

Moreover, There are significant statistical differences at the level of( = 0,05) between eighth grade and sixth in the cognitive domain in favor Of the eighth grade.

There are significant statistical differences at the level of(CJ = 0,05) between eighth grade and sixth as well as seventh grades in favor Of the eighth grade Based on the findings the study recommended the need Of educating students about the importance Of the program in improving their attitudes and interest in reading.
